Lit Wit: Our New Book Club

So, being that August is almost over, we’re a little behind with our Literary Club debut, cleverly dubbed “Lit Wit”. Each month we will be selecting a new book to inspire conversation amongst our beautiful gang of løvers.

So we know it’s short notice, but don’t worry! Our title selection for this month is a quick read, a juicy piece of fiction penned by the lovely Taylor Jenkins Reid: Carrie Soto Is Back. We admit this title will appeal moreso to the ladies of LØVE, but it is too good to pass up. Sorry boys. Will try to keep next month’s book choice more neutral…promise.

Thursday, 8/31 @ 12pm EST we will convene on Twitter (aka “X”) to live tweet our thoughts and have our first monthly Lit Wit meeting. Mark you calendars, lovelies.

A little synopsis to get you excited: In "Carrie Soto Is Back," Taylor Jenkins Reid delivers another compelling narrative that follows the tenacious Carrie Soto. Known for her unrivaled achievements in tennis, Carrie Soto's determination knows no bounds, even if it means making a dramatic comeback from retirement, challenging her reputation, and risking her sponsorships. While the backdrop is tennis, the heart of the story lies in Carrie's unapologetic ambition and her heartwarming bond with her father, who also serves as her coach. This novel skillfully delves into the challenges that powerful women face while portraying Carrie as a beacon of inspiration, fearlessly pursuing her dreams. With Reid's signature storytelling prowess, "Carrie Soto Is Back" is a triumphant tale that will undoubtedly have readers rallying behind Carrie's journey once again.
